White Chocolate Brownies

8 ounces white chocolate
1-1/2 C. all purpose flour
3/4 teasp. baking powder
1/4 teasp. salt
2/3 C. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 teasp. vanilla extract
1/3 C. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 C. coarsley chopped pecans

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In top of double boiler over hot water melt white chocolate, stirring until smooth. Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. In medium mixing bowl, combine sugar, eggs and vanilla; blend well. Stir in white chocolate and butter. Stir in flour mixture. Fold in pecans. Pour into lightly greased 8 inch square baking pan.
Bake 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Allow to cool completely before cutting.
Makes 16 brownies
